# CNIL Proxification

The CNIL recommends a solution to a**void direct contact** between the Internet user's terminal and the tool's servers. In other words, it recommends the use of a proxy server. 

This proxyfication should serve as an essential step in the **pseudonymization of data before transferring it to your partner's servers** (or any other audience measurement tool headquartered in the U.S.).

Commanders Act's server-side solution meets the CNIL's expectations, enabling you to deploy your audience measurement solutions in compliance with the CNIL. 

The Proxy Mode option lets you anonymize data before sending it. When enabled, proxy mode gives you access to a number of options that allow you to choose granularly how each parameter should be anonymized.
