# Tableau Cloud

## **Description**

**Tableau Server and Tableau Online** (now known as Tableau Cloud) are data analysis platforms that enable organisations to publish, share and distribute dashboards and data sources. Tableau Server is installed and maintained on the company's hardware, while Tableau Online is a solution hosted in the cloud by Tableau.
