# A-Record

## Step 1

#### CHOICE OF SUB-DOMAIN :

* This first step involves defining the name of the sub-domain that will be delegated. 
* The process is quite simple: on the Administration / Domain management interface, click on 'Add a sub-domain' to add a domain name to be delegated.

#### DON'T KNOW WHICH SUB-DOMAIN NAME TO CHOOSE?

* We recommend that you choose a neutral sub-domain name.&#x20;
* The idea here is to avoid using an explicit sub-domain name such as tracking.%domain%.com, which could be detected by adblockers.

## Step 2

#### SELECT RECORD A AND CHOOSE HOW TO SUPPLY THE CERTIFICATE :

* Use the Let's Encrypt certificate:&#x20;
  * With this method, the certificate will be automatically generated.&#x20;
  * Follow the steps in the interface, no action is required on your part.

#### WOULD YOU LIKE TO USE YOUR OWN CERTIFICATE?

* This method requires the following elements to be supplied:&#x20;
  * The SSL certificate(s) linked to the sub-domain(s) entered above&#x20;
  * The certificate key&#x20;
  * The certificate chain&#x20;

## Step 3

#### CONFIGURE YOUR SUB-DOMAIN ON YOUR :

* The DNS for your sub-domain must be configured with the A record information that was sent to you when the certificate was generated.&#x20;
* To carry out this configuration, ask your IT department to perform this operation on your sub-domain hosting servers.

* Once you have configured your servers, click on "Confirm configuration" to test the DNS configuration.

#### DO YOU USE YOUR OWN CERTIFICATE?

* The DNS for your sub-domain must be configured with the A record information that was sent to you when the certificate was generated.&#x20;

* Provide the requested information&#x20;
  * The SSL certificate(s) linked to the sub-domain(s) entered above&#x20;
  * The certificate key&#x20;
  * The certificate chain

## Step 4

#### ACTIVATE THE DOMAIN :

* The purpose of this step is to deploy your sub-domain to all your containers.&#x20;
* Click on "Containers Integration", which will allow the domain to be included in the container configuration.
* All TAGs hosted in your containers will switch to first-party collection.

#### WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I HAVE 2 OR MORE DOMAINS?&#x20;

* Priority is given to the domain of the website on which the container is loaded.&#x20;
* If no domain matches the website domain, the first in the list is used.
