# How to add a tag in client side?

## How to proceed

1. Go to TagCommander editing step
2. Click on the button 'add a tag' (located on the left) and select in the library the desired tag, then click on add If you do not find the tag template you want, you can use the 'free input custom' template and integrate the code (provided by the partner).
3. You must transmit to the partner the expected values, by mapping; select in the drop-down menu the variables that are expected by this new tag
4. If necessary, modify its trigger, via the menu located at the top right
5. Configure, if necessary, its triggering restrictions by adding perimeters and constraints via the menus on the right. Do not forget to link it to the right category of cookies (privacy)
6. Save the new tag
7. Generate the container
8. Deploy the container in pre-production to ensure that it is functional before going into production
9. If the recipe is validated, deploy the container in production.
